Blessing and Dedication of the Candle of Atonement
Friday, 15th February, 2019 is a dedicated day of prayer for survivors of abuse.  The Diocese will remember all survivors at a special mass on Friday, 15th February, 2019 in St. Mary’s Cathedral @9am.  Pope Francis prayed a very moving Penitential Rite at the closing Mass at the World meeting of Families in the Phoenix Park in 2018 and we join with Pope Francis on February 15th to  implore the Lord’s mercy for the crimes of abuse and ask for forgiveness for the whole Church. All are welcome to attend.

G.A.A. Lip Sync – Fundraising Events Schedule
The G.A.A. Club Lip Sync Fundraising event will take place on Saturday, 23rd February in the Lyrath Hotel, Kilkenny.  All monies raised will go towards the new Astro-turf at the G.A.A. grounds.  The show promises to put on a spectacular display of talent from groups within our community and we hope that people will come out in numbers to support the participating acts.
The following is a schedule of fundraising events taking place during the final two weeks in the lead up to the main event;
Sun. 10th February, 2019: Hairpin Hurling – registration @10am
Sun. 10th February, 2019: Afternoon Tea Party in Owning House @3pm
Fri. 15th February, 2019: Kid’s Disco in the G.A.A. Complex from 7:30pm-9:30pm
Sat. 16th February, 2019: Cake Sale in Piltown Community Centre from 7-8pm.
Sun. 17th February, 2019: Colour Run at the G.A.A. Complex from 1:30pm-3:30pm
Tickets for the event are now on sale in Hickson’s Centra in Piltown at a cost of €20 per ticket. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Cake Sale
The Wallies & Wags team involved in the upcoming Piltown G.A.A. Lip Sync are holding a ‘Cake Sale' on Saturday February 16th after 6.30pm mass in Piltown.
If you fancy a nice treat please pop into the Community Centre after mass.  We would really appreciate your support.  We would like to thank everyone involved in baking for this event & also thank Marty's Pantry & the Thatch Cafe Cottage who have donating delicious cakes.
