IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF OSSORY SAINTS:  Fiacre – Kieran – Canice – Fergal
On 3rd March 2018 Bishop Elect Mgr Dermot Farrell will make a pilgrimage to some of the ancient sites of our diocese: Seir Kieran - the seat of St Kieran of Saighir; Aghaboe - the ancient monastery of St Canice and St Fergal; and St Fiacre's Church in Kilkenny which honours the member of St Fiacre. 
The new bishop's episcopal ring, mitre, crozier and pectoral cross will be blessed at the four pilgrim stations.
You are invited to join Mgr Farrell on this pilgrimage beginning in St Fiacre's Church Loughboy on the 3rd March at 9.30am.  The pilgrimage will make it's way to Sier Kieran arriving at 11.30 (approx).  The third Station will be in Aghaboe, arriving at 1.30pm (approx).  The final station will be St Mary's Cathedral, arriving at approx 4pm.  Please book you place on the Bus departing from St Fiacre's.

Last week we were delighted to welcome Kate Falconer as a new reader to the Saturday evening Mass in Piltown. It always enhances the ceremonies to have young people involved. Well done to Kate. We would still like to see more people of all ages involved in our ceremonies, so please do not be shy about stepping forward as there is still a requirement for more readers in Piltown.  Fresh voices are always welcome. Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist:  Anyone considering volunteering for this Ministry is invited to make contact with Fr. Moore.

We will have three Masses as part of our First Communion Preparation Programme these Masses will be on Sunday 11th March, Sunday 15th April and Sunday 22nd April.  We ask you to make a special effort to bring the children who are preparing for First Communion to Mass during Lent.

Piltown Community Enterprise (PCE) are holding a RACE NIGHT in the GAA Complex on Saturday, 3rd March. Doors opening at 8.30 pm 1st Race at 9.00 pm.  Admission: Free.  All are welcome. It will be a night of entertainment and craic.

South Ossory PTAA will hold their next meeting on Thursday, 1st March at 8:30pm in Piltown Community Centre. 

South Ossory PTAA Annual Vigil takes place on Friday, 9th March at 8pm in The Chapel at Owning House.  All are welcome.

Registration for Ladies Gaelic Football will take place in Piltown GAA Complex on Thursday 1st March at 7:30pm to 8:30pm. Please come along and join Ireland’s biggest growing sport for girls. There is category of membership for all girls and women born 2010 and before.  There is something for everyone with Gaelic4Mothers & Others catering for the social player. The Episcopal Ordination of the new Bishop of Ossory, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Dermot Farrell will take place in Kilkenny on Sunday 11th Match.
There is a limited number of invitations available to the Parish. If you are interested in attending the Episcopal Ordination, please give your name to Fr. Moore before Monday lunchtime.
Should the demand be greater than the availability, the Liturgical Committee will organise a draw.  Invitations will be sent directly to the recipients.

Prayer Service to mark Women’s World Day of Prayer will take place on Friday, 2nd March 2018 in St. Canice’s Cathedral at 7.30 p.m.
