LITURGICAL COMMITTEE
Meeting in Piltown Community Centre on Monday 6th February at 7pm.  Many thanks to the great number of Eucharistic Ministers who attended Owning House during the week with all participating enthusiastically. 
Their work in the Parish is much appreciated.

Parish First Communion Preparation Programme
Meeting for all parents of children who will receive their First Communion in May on Monday 13th February at 7.30pm in Piltown Community Centre.

Traffic Management in Owning:
Recently a presentation was made to the February meeting of the Piltown Municipal District regarding
concerns raised about the movement of traffic through the village. This meeting was attended by the Area
Engineer, Ian Gardner. 324 signed petitions, seeking a review, were accepted by the local representatives. Our presentation was well received and following their deliberations the Council members will get back to us with their recommendations and the plan of action. Further updates will be provided when they are made available. A sincere thank you to all for your support for this initiative.

“Learning to Live Life in the Blue Zone” is the title of a talk by Dr Fergus Heffernan to be held at
St. Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy on Wednesday, 8th February at 8.00pm.  Admission is €10 and all proceeds go to the Irish Pilgrimage Trust which brings children with special needs to Lourdes each Easter.

Owning ica guild will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday 7th February in the Marion Hall, Owning at 8pm.  New members are always welcome.

Piltown Toddler Group meets every Friday morning at Piltown National School in the prefab to the rear of the school from 10:30am to 12:30pm.  Parents & Childminders all welcome to come along with babies and toddlers

Church Cleaning Rota:
Volunteers for week commencing January 30th Mary Walsh, Maura Burchill and Catherine Jensen.
Thank you to all our volunteers who give approx. two hours every three weeks on a rota basis to look after our Church.  We are looking for more volunteers male/female, please contact Parish Office or Sacristan.
