BISHOP OF OSSORY
On Wednesday 3rd January 2018, Monsignor Dermot Farrell, a priest of the Diocese of Meath was announced as the next Bishop of Ossory.  Monsignor Farrell is currently serving as Vicar General and Parish Priest of Dunboyne & Kilbride, in his home diocese. 
While welcoming Bishop-Elect Farrell to Ossory, Monsignor Michael Ryan who has acted as Administrator since Bishop Freeman’s retirement, offered on behalf of the people, priests and religious of the diocese our support and loyalty as Bishop Farrell takes on this new ministry.   

YEAR OF THE FAMILY: Volunteers are needed for the Year of the Family 2018 Parish Programme.  A meeting those interested in volunteering will take place on Thursday, 18th January at 7:15pm in Piltown Community Centre.  Contact Fr. Moore for more information.

PILTOWN SOCIAL CLUB wish to announce that they will be holding their annual Dinner Dance on Saturday, 3rd February 2018 in the Carraig Hotel , Carrick on Suir.
A full four course meal will be served at 8.30pm, with music on the night by the ever popular Checkers , dancing and great craic until late.
