World Day of Prayer for Vocations
The annual World Day of Prayer for Vocations (Vocations Sunday) will be held on Sunday 12th May.  This year we are running a vocations exploration (Come & See) weekend for men who are discerning whether they are being called by the Lord to Diocesan Priesthood.  This will be held on the weekend following Vocations Sunday (Sat 18th and the morning of Sunday 19th May) in our National Seminary (St. Patrick’s College Maynooth) and accommodation will be in the seminary.  This provides those considering a vocation to meet with seminarians and to join them in the various liturgies, Eucharist, Divine Office and Adoration etc.

The Quiet Revolution of Pope Francis
The Quiet revolution of Pope Francis: Our Part in Creating a Synodal Church
On the evening of the 15th May at 7.30pm in St Kieran’s College, the author Fr Gerry O’Hanlon SJ will lead a conversation on the Ministry of Pope Francis and how it is calling us all to a more synodal understanding of Church in which the instinct/voice of all baptised men and women is given a role in the formation and reception of church teaching and the governance of our Church. We would like to invite all those who serve in our parishes to come along to this gathering. We are inviting our Ministers of the Word, Choirs, Parish Councils, Finance Committees, Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist and all those who minister in our Parish.
