History and nature walk n' talk at mountain grove woods
On Sunday 7th May at 6:30pm we will have a free hour long walk and talk on local history and flora for all those with an interest in this wonderful natural woodland.  The bluebells are still in bloom before the leaves emerge to fill the canopy.   The woods are 3km north of Piltown, follow the brown trailhead signs.   All welcome.

Robert power performs '4' in brewery lane…..Robert Power, an independent artist from Carrick-on-Suir, will preview his new play, 4 at Brewery Lane Theatre on Friday May 12th at 8:15pm. On the night, Robert will also perform some of his own original music having just released his debut single ’Judge’.  Tickets €15 are on sale through The Tudor Artisan Hub from Tuesday May 2nd, 2017.

Clancy Brothers Festival
Eoghan Power Memorial singing Competition 2017 is now open for entries…..The Clancy Brothers Festival is seeking singers for the Eoghan Power Memorial Song Competition which takes place in Figgerty’s Pub, New Street on Friday, 2nd June at 9pm.
This acoustic session will see each competition entrant sing one folk/ballad song of their choice.
The event is free to the public.

The U-18 Busking Competition 2017 is also open for entries—The Festival is seeking youths & children to perform and compete in this years Busking Competition on Saturday, 3rd June.  Entrance fee €10 - lots of great prizes.  Application forms can be downloaded
